15 Agosto. Sospese operazioni di volo

🇮🇹A causa dell’attività eruttiva dell’Etna e contestuale emissione di cenere vulcanica in atmosfera, la pista è inagibile a causa di una copiosa ricaduta di cenere vulcanica sul campo e, pertanto, sono sospesi sia gli arrivi che le partenze.
Le operazioni di volo riprenderanno al ripristino delle condizioni d’agibilità delle infrastrutture di volo.
Al momento si stima che le attività di volo potranno riprendere alle ore 18:00
I passeggeri sono quindi pregati di non recarsi in aeroporto se non dopo aver verificato con la compagnia aerea lo stato del proprio volo.

SAC announces that due to the eruptive activity of Mount Etna and the simultaneous emission of volcanic ash into the athmosphere, runway is unusable due to a significant fall of volcanic ash on the airfield, and therefore, both arrivals and departures have been suspended.
Flight operations will resume once the flight infrastructure conditions are restored. At the moment, it is estimated that flight activities may resume at 6:00 PM.
Passengers are therefore urged not to go to the airport without first checking the status of their flight with the airline.
